Bells for your wedding

What better sound to greet you as you leave the Oratory church as husband and wife than the sound of the bells proclaiming your marriage? At York Oratory we have an excellent peal of 10 bells which are rung in the English change-ringing style by an enthusiastic and highly competent band. We offer to ring 6, 8 or 10 bells for you, before your wedding, as you leave the church after the marriage service, or at both times. Each session of ringing lasts for approximately 20* minutes.

Charges

(Charges effective from 29th February 2024)

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that the required number of bells are rung for your wedding, York Oratory Bellringers cannot unfortunately guarantee this. An appropriate refund will be made if necessary.

* If your wedding starts and finishes more than 15 minutes later than planned, unfortunately it may not be possible to ring for the entire period requested, although every effort will be made to do so. We are unable to refund any fees in these circumstances.
